Craig Robinson Long Beach Concert reviews
Just okay...maybe better at another venue
I love Craig Robinson, let me start by saying. My best experience was seeing them at Madison Square Garden one month after 9/11 when they declared that fear would not stop us from living. The concert started off negatively when the venue staff at the merch counters treated people rudely. All of the t-shirts were only available in XL or below because the larger sizes had not even been shipped. Bono & the boys were incredible, but the sets seemed short. The concert started late. They didn't do In the Name of Love or Where the Streets Have No Name which disappointed me a little. The new album and songs were really good, but it felt like Bono was tired and not completely into it. The staging was clever, but depending where you sat, there were a lot of blind spots for a good part of the show. The ticket prices were extremely high even though they had claimed for years that they would never do that to the fans. I enjoyed the show in the end, but when I left, I didn't feel like it was worth the struggle for parking and getting home late.
